Augusto Daolio - Nature's breath
From 18th June to 11th September 2022 | Palazzina Marfisa d'Este
Nomadi's voice and founder, Augusto Daolio (Novellara 1947 - 1992) was also an excellent surrealist painter and draftsman. Since it's 30 years from his death, Ferrara consacrates him the anthological titled "Augusto Daolio. Nature's breath", at Palazzina Marfisa d'Este, from 18th June to 11th September.
Developped by Pietro di Natale, the exhibition is organised by Ferrara's Municipality-Art Museums' Service and Fondazione Ferrara Arte in partnership with the Association "Augusto for life" and Emilia-Romagna Region's sponsorship.
His interest in drawing brought him to conceive, in his brief and bright life, the works showed in Ferrara, a significant selection of 56 works, among oil paintings and coloured Indian ink drawings, realized between 1973 and 1992.
The main study and inspiration spring is nature, as the whole things that born, live and transform, included human being. Daolio illustrates a dreamlike, magical, deeply evocative and simbolic world, in which you can understand a personal reflection on correlation and continuity between man and nature, on connections and similarities between human and inanimate beings, and on the amazing, overwhelming and indescribable of the creation's beauty. Reality and fantasy mix together in images carefully drafted with which Novellara's artist examines what he called "the little big mistery of things".
