More than half a century after his last monographic exposition, his city dedicates him an exhibition. A selection of works from the civic collection converses with important loans from museums and private collections, with unpublished documents from the artist's heirs's archives, among which the moving autobiographical manuscript titled “Useless memories of a survivor”. Crema's artistic path tells about the imagination of an artist with a strong narrative vacation, expressed not only in triptych and huge works, but also in easel painting and little pencil drawings.
The exhibition is divided in seven thematic sections, preceded by an introductory room where the artist presents himself with his own picture, with two self-portraits of different period and a sculptural portrait of Silverio Montaguti.
After a focus on portraits, domestic life scenes and feminine nudes, the exhibition gives the painter experience during the war. The consideration about the war fury obstructs the one about the dual value of talent and progress, to which is dedicated the last section.
