The guided tour leaves from the Estense Castle, symbol of the city, from where you can enjoy the sight of Corso Ercole I d'Este, the street which connects the Castle to the North Gate of the wall crossing the Erculean Addition desired by Ercole I d'Este and realized by the ferrarese architect Biagio Rossetti in 1492.
The visit continues in the medieval square where there are the romanic-gothic Cathedral devoted to San Giorgio and the Marchionale Palace, which has been the first residence of the Estense family and is today the city hall. Crossing the ancient streets of San Romano and Delle Volte we will reach the suggestive Jewish ghetto with its synagogue, which is still now the landmark of the Jewish community of Ferrara.
