Riaperture Photofestival Ferrara

Riaperture is an Photography International Festival, which allows to open places closed since long ago, often forgotten and secret, in Ferrara.

It's a modern festival, always evolving, which shows images in abandonde city places, no more usable by the community and because of that often forgotten.

During three week-ends full of exhibitions, workshops, portfolio readings and much more, RIAPERTURE fills Ferrara with histories: new worlds inside hanging worlds, to let them re-open thanks to photography. OFF review is confirmed in this edition, too.

In 2022 Riaperture, during Photography Festival's VI edition, wants to talk about travel, regarding every possible form, means and variation: even if it's real, unreal, in space, in time or even built by the imagination.
Every one of us comes from a long period in which physically moving from one place to another were sometimes discouraged, sometimes restricted just in case of needs and sometimes forbidden for our own safe. During this gradual and, hopefully, irreversible route to the infamous noramlity recovery, we would like to fully get back to feel the travel as surprise exercise in front of Nature, in a city or in touch with people, not forgetting the introspective experience that distance imposed.
