From April 12th until September 22nd , MEIS museum shows the new exhibition called “The Renaissance speaks Hebrew” by Giulio Busi and Silvana Greco.
This exhibition shows one of the most crucial time of the italian cultural history where the Italian identity has been developed in coexistence with the Jewish people.
In this exhibition you can admire some famous paintings as The Sacred Family by Andrea Mantegna (1504-1506) or the Life of the Virgin (1502-1506) by Vittore Carpaccio. Not only paintings can be seen in this exhibition but also some ancient parchment from the Hebrew Bible still in use.
The aim of this exhibition is to testify the complex, but possible, dialog between the minority and the majority through the years, a very useful and precious lesson we have to take care in these multicultural European days.
MEIS is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Full price ticket: 10€
Reduced ticket: 8,00€ (children from 6 to 18 years old, university student with ID, over 65, MyFe Card owner and Coop Card owner), group ticket 6,00€ (min 15 people, every 20 payer, 1 free), family ticket 6,00€ (1 adult and 1 under 14)
Free entrance: children under 6 years old, tourist guide with ID, journalists, 100% disabled person with helper, soldiers in uniform and ICOM members.
