Sailing the Delta

Leaving the Porto di Gorino behind, we head towards the Sacca di Goro where you can see the processing plants for clams and mussels, the primary source of income for the local economy. We proceed along the Po di Goro as far as its estuary where we will see the "Vecchia Lanterna", a former lighthouse which today is a birdwatching observatory. During our trip we will also have chance to admire the Island of Love with its imposing lighthouse and the Island of the Seagulls, made up of the debris that was carried there and shaped by the sea. The vegetation on these sand dunes is lush and attracts a wide variety of sea bird species.
